Let’s do a really quick break down here. A helmet protects the head. Spiritually, the helmet of salvation protects one’s thoughts. Assurance of salvation acts as a supernatural defense against insecurity and doubt as well as all that results from them.
The sword of the spirit, also known as, the Word of God is convicting, instructive and mighty. Not to mention, it’s where you truly begin to know and see God.
While these are only parts of the armor of God, they are incredibly important in our daily walks as followers of Christ.
Dealing with anxiety or fear? Allow your salvation to help you rest confidently in your position as a member of God’s family.
Struggling with something or battling a particular sin? Allow the Word of God to guide and instruct you.
”Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.“

Ephesians tells us to put on the whole armor of God to be prepared for when the enemy attacks. And he will attack 😒. Therefore, as a start, guard your mind and make sure to get into the Word as we venture into this next week! 🪴
