Hey hey, it has been one heck of year! A year that flew by and slowed down for no one. I am looking forward to 2025 but enjoyed all that came with 2024. So let’s do a quick recap because it’s been a few months since my last post and I cannot end the year without checking in with you all.
What I enjoyed the most
One of the things that I enjoyed most this year was traveling. From Gatlinburg, Tennessee, to spending time in New York City, visiting my home town of Kansas City, Missouri finally enjoying the most amazing food in New Orleans, Louisiana and getting some much needed rest in Martha’s Vineyard, I was a happy girl. Spending time with family and friends this year making unforgettable memories was truly one of the biggest highlights of the year.
Hard things
Okay so there were definitely a few hard things I had to grasp this year. Truthfully, its never easy sitting with yourself and saying “Lord, show me anything in my heart that is not pleasing to you that needs to be pulled out.” Well…maybe asking is the easy part, but taking in the response and doing the work…that’s a different story. So as the Lord does, he gently showed me and convicted my heart when it came to lack of forgiveness and lack of knowing my true identity in Him. I thank God for it because when God speaks….it’s for a reason, and there is pure joy in obedience. God is good, He’s a friend and I am overjoyed that He loves me enough to show me where I need improvement.
Family
We have had such a fun year as a family, growing and learning. Watching the kids grow with my husband has been so humbling. As a parent, you learn quickly that you don’t have everything figured out. Ha! We do not! At all! But we are learning and we are so proud of the humans our children are and are becoming.
What’s to come:
With 2025 on the horizon I am looking forward to publishing more content surrounding faith and family. I have finally finished my first year in my new role at work and now that I have a handle on things I feel like I have more time to plan and write. I love sharing the things that God has placed on my heart to share. That being said, I cannot wait to see how this community will grow in 2025.
I hope everyone has had a wonderful year in 2024. See you all soon!
With Love,
Stacia
