Of all the things about Fall I love, getting cozy and warm has to be number one! Being that I live in South Florida where it’s always pretty warm, heading to another location for that cozy Fall feel is the move.
If you’re ever looking for a cozy cabin trip to take, Blue Ridge, GA is a hidden gem worth visiting.
Getting There
For us, this was a trip that we took with a group of our friends for a “marriage building” getaway.
We flew into Hartsfield-International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia and drove to our cabin in Blue Ridge which was about an hour and a half away.
Day 1: Check-In
The cabin was so beautiful I mean…gorgeous! The amenities were wonderful, the views were amazing, everything was great upon arrival.
After we were all checked in and settled, we did some grocery shopping, grabbed a quick bite and headed back to our cabin for movie night and conversation. I knocked out immediately.🥱😴
Day 2: Exploring
We enjoyed breakfast at the cabin and sat out on the back patio and took in the charming views.
Next up, hitting the trails! There are several trails in Blue Ridge, GA to walk. We visited the MacKaye Trail and a few others on this specific day. There were so many beautiful sites to see.
Afterwards we hit the Swinging Bridge and enjoyed the views.
By this time it was time for dinner and we stopped at a local BBQ restaurant, Carol’s BBQ. While I didn’t necessarily enjoy the food, the people were extremely kind, the restaurant was clean/tidy and the service was exceptional– which counts for a lot and is important.
After dinner, we returned to our cabin and discussed the book “Marriage Be Hard” by Mr. and Mrs. Kev on Stage, which was our couples reading assignment. Great convo and key-takeaways. ♥️
Wrapping the night up with s’mores by the wood burning fireplace! It was pretty chilly out but the fireplace kept us all nice and cozy. The smell alone was so nice.
Day 3: A Day Downtown
For day three we hit the town! We had brunch at the lovely Black Sheep Restaurant and it was a 10/10! I ordered the French toast and lamb. Everything was really good!
Time for Axe Throwing!
Later that night, we all just relaxed and it was much needed. I definitely could’ve used an extra day in this beautiful cabin. We had such a great time being disconnected from the day to day hustle and bustle.
Day 4: Check-Out
Cooked breakfast, cleaned up and hit the airport to make it home in time for Sunday night football!!
Overall
This cabin trip was a 10/10. I highly recommend checking out Blue Ridge, GA for a cozy cabin trip that gives all the Fall feels. Although we typically take our cabin trips earlier in the year, fall is also a great time to enjoy Blue Ridge, GA. I am looking forward to our next cabin trip! Can you take a guess where we’ll be headed? 🙂
Outside of the cabin trip, I recommend taking time to getaway with your spouse to connect and spend quality time together. Even if you’re single, time away with friends to enjoy life, fellowship and break away from the daily responsibilities we all have provides great benefits for the heart, mind and soul.
If you’re looking for a cozy cabin trip to take I can confidently say that Blue Ridge, GA should be on your list.🤍✨
