There is sooooo much going on in the world. All the messages circulating on the news and social media and even the conversations amongst one another regarding said messages is a lot. I am frankly over it all. A blind eye can’t be turned to certain things but this is where Proverbs 4:23 comes to mind.
“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

Simply stated, you become what you consume. The world is full of lies and half truths which are not always easy to decipher. As a follower of Christ, I know that true wisdom comes from God. The Bible gives us wisdom and instruction, and where we are unsure of things in scripture, the Holy Spirit guides. This is what makes reading The Word a necessity. You can’t appropriately navigate this world without the One who created it. That’s a fact. You can try. But you will fail.
“Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’””
Matthew 4:4 NIV

I am not a biblical scholar, or anything close. I am just an imperfect soul, loved by God, sorting each day as you are. I cannot deny the wisdom of God. The mercy and grace that only He so perfectly hands to us each day— as we are fighting against flesh and taking up our crosses, is unconditional. His sacrifice, unconditional. His Word, unconditional. The Bible is literally an instruction guide for God’s children, full of wisdom and guidance. I am speaking to myself as well when I say, study it and apply it to your life as often as possible. It will never be too much. The only truth you will ever glean is from the Word. Not the World.
“Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.”
Proverbs 4:7 NLT

Take care to be diligent in the Word. Ask God for clarity when there are things you are unsure of. Do not allow the World to feed you with lies and deceit. The truth will always set you free.
