As women of God, as part of the body of the church, there are things that we should be focusing on to edify the church. I am reminded of a bible study in which I sat as the youngest, physically and spiritually of more seasoned women in Christ.
The love and wisdom amongst each of them was a blessing that I am truly grateful for. Although I have much to learn in my own journey of following Christ, I look forward to one day being as wise as these women and doing my part as I look toward the next generation of young women in the church.
“Your job is to speak out on the things that make for solid doctrine. Guide older men into lives of temperance, dignity, and wisdom, into healthy faith, love, and endurance. Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We don’t want anyone looking down on God’s Message because of their behavior. Also, guide the young men to live disciplined lives.”
Titus 2:1-6 MSG
Making disciples has always seemed to be more of a caught thing versus a taught thing in my opinion but above my opinion is the fact that both have their place. The edification of the church is important to God and should be important to each of us as followers of Christ. How then are you doing your part? If you’re not, how can you start?🪴
With Love,
