There is always the desire for more in this life. Whether it’s more money or more time…as humans, we all want more of something that isn’t directly related to godliness. No matter how you define wealth, scripture tells us that true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. And it is.
As we dive into this week, understand that we all entered this life with nothing and we’ll leave this life with nothing. If you have food and clothing, you have enough. 🙏🏽
True contentment comes from godliness in the heart, not wealth in the hand. Material possessions which were once exciting eventually lose their appeal.
“Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.”
1 Timothy 6:6-8 NLT
