Each month I look for a special treat to bake with my kids. They love to help out in the kitchen and having a yummy treat to eat afterwards makes things even more fun. I love to bake, and chocolate chip cookies are a household favorite around here. With Valentine’s Day approaching, it’s a no brainer that we’d add some Valentine’s Day magic to the mix!

One of the things I look for when baking is an ingredient list that’s on the simpler side (most of these items were already in my pantry) and quick prep/bake time. Prep time was only about 10 minutes and baking was the same. So yes! We whipped these sweet little treats up in about 20 minutes! I cannot complain, especially when baking with young children. Simple and stressless is the way to go and this recipe definitely delivered!
fresh out the oven
The kids were ready to dig in as soon as the cookies were ready. I let them cool for a little under 10 minutes prior to eating. The result…yes, yes, yeeeeeessss! Chewy, chocolaty goodness. We even added a bit of almond milk to enjoy with them. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect cookie AND from scratch ya’ll! If you’re looking for an easy recipe to make Valentine’s Day Chocolate Chip Cookies, especially one to do with your littles, definitely give this one a try!
